UCI Libraries

As the largest research library system in the county, the UCI Libraries are a major information hub for both the campus and our broader community. Every year, nearly 2 million people visit our four facilities, and over 5 million people visit us virtually. Through our library services and collections, we empower members of the UCI community – and beyond – to explore, learn and create new knowledge. We invite you to join us as we build a brilliant future for UCI Libraries.

ADVANCING TRANSFORMATIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING

Research in the digital age requires flexible and technology-rich learning spaces, as well as accessible tools and resources to support discovery and collaboration. As the university continues to expand and reach new heights of excellence, it is important now more than ever for the UCI Libraries to modernize its facilities. We are designing a transformative learning environment that includes new active learning spaces equipped with the latest technologies that will inspire creativity, foster engaged learning and prepare our students for academic and career success.

PREPARING OUR FUTURE LEADERS

Rich and diverse research collections help students complete their assignments and serve as an important knowledge center for the campus and community. To provide our students a competitive edge beyond graduation, we need to continue to enhance our library collections and provide services that foster critical thinking and information-seeking skills. A gift to the Libraries Collection Enhancement Fund supports the continued acquisition, preservation and accessibility of materials. It will sustain our students’ educational experience, lead researchers to new discoveries and enhance our role as a major information resource for the community.
