Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences

The Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences and UCI Health are building bridges across disciplines to advance a transformative model of discovery, teaching and healing. Our health sciences students benefit from a unique team-based, interprofessional approach to education that brings together in one college the School of Medicine, the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the planned School of Population and Public Health. With the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, a foundational partner, we are advancing an integrative model of wellness that treats the whole person.

Funding Priorities

Clinical Research Across Disciplines

Gifts for interdisciplinary clinical research will foster trailblazing collaborations in areas such as artificial intelligence, neurotherapeutics, precision medicine, infectious diseases, human genetics and epigenetics across boundaries in order to improve lives. The Falling Leaves Foundation Medical Innovation Building, a state-of-the-art basic and translational research and training facility currently being built in the UCI Health Sciences District is slated to be one of the largest innovation facilities in the West. This one-of-a-kind space will enable us to reach our full potential and to recruit and retain top investigators.

Integrative Healthcare Across Medical Services

Your investment will allow us to broaden our clinical focus and bring an integrative framework to more medical subspecialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, neurology and psychiatry. Funding will also cover educational opportunities and fellowships for the next generation of integrative health specialists.

Institute for Clinical and Translational Science

With your partnership, the ICTS will turn science into care and translate discoveries into cures. One of only 65 centers throughout the country funded by the National Institutes of Health, we catalyze, incubate and develop new approaches to train the future leaders of biomedical research, stimulate seed projects that address pressing health needs, and rapidly integrate new research into practice.

Interprofessional Education and Care

Our unique approach to interprofessional education is designed to help students in the health sciences excel on high-performing teams in contemporary healthcare environments. Your gift will enable students in medicine, nursing, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, and population and public health to participate in collaborative learning and hands-on training while developing an in-depth understanding of integrative health.

School Naming Opportunities in the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences

Your gift to name the School of Medicine, the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, or the planned School of Population and Public Health will galvanize support for our transformative vision. The success of our talented students and dedicated faculty will be linked with your generosity for generations to come.
